Dr. Jackie Lebenzon
Assistant Professor
I am a molecular physiologist interested in how animals fine tune their sub-cellular processes to survive and thrive in challenging environments. I completed my PhD at Western University with Dr. Brent Sinclair where I explored the overwintering physiology of the Colorado potato beetle. Sick of Canadian winters and wanting some California sun, I spent two years at UC Berkeley exploring energetic trade-offs in wing polymorphic field crickets with Dr. Caroline Williams. I like to bake, make insect-themed ceramics, and create pretty graphics any chance I get.
